Cancellation and Refund Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This policy describes how paid subscriptions for Courier Billing can be cancelled, when you may receive a refund, and how billing disputes are handled. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms used here have the meaning given in the Terms unless defined below.
1. Scope
This policy applies to subscription fees you pay us for access to Courier Billing. It does not govern courier charges, duties, or amounts you bill your own customers—those are contracts between you and your clients or carriers.
2. How billing works
You pay for each billing period in advance, monthly or yearly as you choose. The yearly price is ten times the monthly price (two months free). Plans are Starter, Growth, and Professional; Professional includes three Franchises, and each additional Franchise (up to ten on one login) is a paid add-on. Current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Taxes such as GST may be added where we are required to collect them. Payments are processed by our regulated payment partner (Razorpay); Courier Billing receives confirmation of success or failure, not your full card credentials.
Payments are not automatically recurring. We do not store your card or set up a standing mandate. When a period is about to end we remind you, and you choose whether to pay for the next one. If you do not pay, your account moves to its expired state when the paid period ends (see Section 3).
3. Cancelling and expiry
Because nothing renews on its own, there is normally nothing to cancel: simply do not pay for the next period.
- You keep full access until the period you already paid for ends.
- No further charges are created after that.
- Except where Section 5 (money-back guarantee) applies, we do not refund unused time inside a billing period you have already paid for.
- When a paid period ends without a new payment, creating or assigning new billing data may be blocked until you pay. Your existing records are kept, subject to our Privacy Policy.
- If a payment attempt fails, no access is granted for it. Try again, or contact us with the transaction reference.
Closing your account
- You can permanently delete your account and its data yourself from Profile → Security. This cannot be undone and does not by itself trigger a refund.
- To close an account with our help or to ask a billing question, email support@courierbilling.in from your registered email with the subject “Account closure”. We will confirm within two to three business days where manual handling is required.
4. Free trial and referral credit
New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. No card is required and you are not charged automatically when it ends; your account simply expires unless you choose to pay.
If you refer another Franchise and they sign up using your email, we add 30 days to both subscriptions. Referral days are a courtesy: they have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and are not refundable. We may withhold or reverse credit that results from fake or duplicate accounts.
5. Money-back guarantee (first payment only)
We want you to be comfortable adopting Courier Billing. If you are a first-time paying subscriber, you may request a full refund of the subscription fee for your initial paid period (monthly or yearly), subject to all of the following:
- You email support@courierbilling.in with the subject “Refund request” within 14 calendar days of the date we successfully charged your first subscription payment.
- Your message includes the account email and, if available, the payment date or transaction reference.
- You have not previously received a refund under this guarantee for the same organisation or individual (we allow the guarantee once per customer).
Approved refunds are initiated within approximately five to ten business days. The money appears on your original payment method according to your bank, card network, or UPI PSP—often additional banking days apply outside our control. When a refund is processed, the plan or period it paid for ends and your account returns to its expired state.
6. What is not refundable
Except as required by law or expressly stated in writing by us, the following are not refundable:
- Later periods, plan upgrades, additional-Franchise add-ons, or any payment made after your first successful subscription charge.
- Referral credit and free-trial days.
- Requests received more than 14 days after your first successful subscription charge.
- Professional services, custom integrations, on-site training, or other one-off fees unless we explicitly agree otherwise in a signed statement of work.
- Statutory taxes we have already lawfully remitted (we refund only the net fee we can lawfully reverse).
- Accounts terminated for material breach of our Terms (including fraud or abuse).
7. Duplicate or erroneous charges
If you believe you were double-charged or charged the wrong amount, contact us immediately with proof. If we confirm an error on our side or our processor’s side, we will correct it by refund or credit as appropriate.
8. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before filing a chargeback or bank dispute so we can resolve billing issues quickly. If you initiate a chargeback without first attempting resolution, we may suspend your account until the dispute is closed and may provide evidence of service delivery and acceptance of these terms to the payment network. Abuse of chargebacks may lead to permanent closure.
9. Plan changes
If you upgrade, downgrade, add a Franchise, or change billing frequency, any proration, credits, or effective dates will be shown at checkout or in-product. If no proration is shown, changes take effect when your current paid period ends. A plan limits how many consignments you can bill each month and how many Franchises you can run; if you reach a limit, you may need a higher plan to continue.
10. Contact
Billing questions: support@courierbilling.in. We aim to respond within three to five business days. If this policy conflicts with the Terms on the same topic, the Terms control.
